We enjoyed the first big snow of the season on Saturday, which also happened to be the day of the heated UK vs. UofL basketball showdown.
My kids stared out the window longingly all morning, so Walker practically ran out the door in nothing but his Diego underoos when the neighbors knocked on the door and asked us to come out and play.
I stayed inside with Warren. Cooking up a pot of potato soup and banana bread. Listening to Pandora and sorting my spice cabinet. You know, domestic stuff that makes me seem way more on top of it than I really am:).
Suddenly, Lee called from the front door "Do we have blue food coloring?"
Oh, boy. After searching the pantry and finding yellow, red and green (ugh, no blue?!) I grabbed two bottles of blue sprinkles leftover from Walker's 2nd birthday and tossed them out the door.
There were my boys...working with our neighbors, Jeremiah & Trey, to build the most awesome BIG BLUE snowman ever - a replica of UK's big man, Nerlens Noel.
It was fantastic.
The little details were impressive. The high top, the tall arm, the NBA basketball and the National Championship flag. It was so impressive that I felt compelled to share with friends on facebook and Lee posted it on his twitter account.
Then one of our closest friends, Kelley B (@ukkelleyb), posted in on her twitter account. Which is kinda a big deal b/c she knows all of the high profile folks in the world of UK Athletics.
That's when it blew up.

We laughed b/c we really felt like we were having our five minutes of fame when Oscar Combs retweeted Kelley's tweet with the picture. I think Lee fell over.
Then he got a text that it was posted on Kentucky Sports Radio - his fav source for UK sports information. Kinda a big deal to Cats fanatics - here.
Lee also got an email from Larry Vaught (another stellar/well-known UK media personality) that it was going to be posted on his Web site - here.
Just when we were getting the big head, we had to go and lose the game and just like that...we were old news. But it sure was fun while it lasted:).
And the snowman DID last. For THREE days! Arm and all.
Yesterday, I saw at least five people drive by and take a picture. GOTCHA!
And I just found out that today the Sentinel-News ran a picture of the boys with their snowman.
As for the game, we hung in there and played much better than we expected. We are proud of our CATS and optimistic about what this season could bring.

We're a family of three, going on four, learning how to love God and love other people. In the process, we experience laughs, tears, joys, wins, let downs, adventures...you know, the kind of stuff that makes you
I am the thermostat manager, stylist, nap coordinator, historian, mommy and wife of the Webbie Fam.
My love is the checkbook manager, date planner, Redbox coordinator, sports analyst, daddy and husband of the Webbie fam.
The boy is the train conducting, floppy haired, blue-eyed, furniture climbing, basketball dunking, fruit loving member of the Webbie fam.
The girl is the happy little surprise of pink bows headed our way in May. No doubt that she will be the daddy loving, big brother following, mommy cuddling little lady of the Webbie fam.

Apart from the grace of God, which I need every single second of my life, I am a complete mess. If you're here to find the perfect woman/wife/mommy, I will most certainly disappoint. If you're here to get a laugh or read something that makes you feel feel normal by comparison, you've come to the right place:).
